  • ¿Who did you speak to at the embassy or consulate?: i couldnt make out the name properly, i asked her to repeat it but i still couldnt make it out. She said that it was a concern of theirs but there was nothing in their power to change it. I thought it seemed like a praticed responce, automated as if she was reading a script. • Ii ask to speak directly to the ambassador but surprise, surprise had no luck. Sorry the name of the very polite lady escapes me now. She inform me that they were dealing with alot of enquiries concerning this matter and would i send an email with my concerns. I tried several times to converse but was informed that correspondance needed to be written or emailed. I have subsequently sent an email and await a reply.
The person i spoke to was very polite and obviously aware of the situation as she was very quick to point out the procedures they were adopting but ultimately she would not be drawn into a conversation on the matter. Disappointing. Pep Padovano (England)

¿What did they say?: We have received several letters and faxes of similar drafting, expressing concerns over the logging operations that may be occuring in Northern Argentina (province of Salta). The embassy of the Argentine Republic in Australia is not aware of any such process taking place and has asked our authorities in Buenos Aires to provide us with relevant information on this issue. We look forward to share with you such information which will help to clarify and have a clear picture of the current situation.
¿What do you think of their response to your call?: i hope they are being honest and will pass on the message once they have \'clarified\' the situation. Josie Ravenwolf (Australia)
  • ¿Who did you speak to at the embassy or consulate?: En un periodo no superior a 10 años la mayor riqueza del planeta va a consistir en tener unos recursos naturales bien conservados.
